Snif Snif, it’s got that new car smell. As long as they whole stable is coming, congrats to Alexo and the crew on the move. Dig the Todd addition, I liked his goods when I remembered to read his blog. Ditto on the interface comments – when you guys are working on redesigns, just think about signal (the writing) to noise (all this wasted gray space, etc).

I’ll miss the Toaster. I like the informalness of it. But I’m addicted to y’all, so here I am.

(Here’s another vote for 1024×768 design. And this feels too boxy. I like the nested comments though.)

It may be that the default size of the site is set to be static for an 800×600 layout, whereas I know the Toaster was dynamic. Hopefully that’s something that can be changed!

So, this is the look of my new home eh? The only thing that bothers me is that everything, and in particular, the comments seem squished. What I liked about the Toaster was the comments read across my entire screen, not just 6 inches of it. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Congrats on the move by the way.

Welcome! I’m sure I will get used to it– it’s the quality of the blog, not it’s URL that matters!

But it is kind of eerie, like when you’re on vacation in another city and Jeopardy comes on at 7:30 PM instead of 7:00….

I just want to join Alex in welcoming everybody over here to SNY. Please do bear with us as we have a lot of work to do to get things going here, and there are sure to be bugs along the way (the comments being the first of those, apparently). Do give us your feedback on what you do and don’t like about the new set-up, as well as about any changes we might make to things as we get settled here.

As Alex says, one thing that won’t change is what you’ll get from us in terms of coverage and content. Or rather, what you get from Alex, Emma, Bruce, Will and myself. We’re adding Todd and Diane and hope to find other new ways to supplement our existing coverage. I’m excited. Hope you are, too.

Congrats on the new spot Alex and the esteemed crew.

The site is nice, clean looking – I’ll miss the toaster community for the random people that wander in – but not those damn ads that were right in the middle of it all.
I also like the nested comment thing but would like to be able to preview, but will get used to it either way.
