[18] Yeah, things are going pretty good for us right now. Truthfully, I'm not worried about anything but our next game (vs. Auburn). They have beaten us six years in a row and it's been tough to take all the grief from their fans. This year we are undefeated and they are having a down year, but I still won't sleep easy until we end that streak. Anything that happens after that is pure gravy...

You know, it's kinda funny, the last time Alabama had this good of a football team was back before the Yankees started that playoff steak. Maybe it's some kind of sports "yin-yang" that shields me from the stress of rooting for two quality teams in the fall... ;-)

[1] You did a great job, Alex, and I'm already looking forward to the next one, ums and ahs or no.

As for the ums and ahs, in high school, I took a public speaking class, and the first thing we did was get up in front of the class, give a talk on a topic picked at random, and get video taped doing it. I thought I was pretty good at speaking, but every other word out of my mouth - literally - was "um". We did that a few more times and eventually we all taught ourselves to stop doing it. Nothing like seeing yourself on the tee-vee saying "um" to help break you of the habit. Practice makes perfect and all that. =)

[4] Hey Bama - I'm guessing you're pretty psyched about how the BCS is going this year, huh? =)

"Greed is good..." Yeah, so when will MLB and their "partners" come crawling up to us for a bailout? >;)

I agree with McCarron in that if you were gonna bring in FAs, bring in both Tex and CC in that order and leave it at that, but they've already overplayed their hand with CC. They might be playing for leverage against Tex if they still are interested, but unlike CC, he actually has more options. Considering that the Yanks have dumb money on the table, there are probably only two other teams that could possibly compete with that while not sub-priming their roster. On top of that, the Player's Union is hovering about and hoping that he takes the highest offer. Teixeira? He can wait for the offers and choose what's best for him. Seems like the Yanks are listening too much to the pundits (who obviously don't give a crap about them to begin with) and painting themselves into the 80's corner again. Tex would have been my first move with four years at whatever, then wait and see what CC was being offered. Screw Pavano/Wright 2.0...

It's all about the 3000 calorie sportswriters diet and P90X. By Spring Training you'll take McCarron AND Klapish.

Actually, I don't prefer Manny over CC. My wish list is:

1) CC
2) Manny
3) if not #1 Burnett
4) Lowe
5) not Teixeira

I know, no more t shirts. Yeah, first time hosting. One thing, it's humbling doing stuff in front of a camera. It's certainly a skill.

That was good stuff, Alex. Was that your fist time hosting? If so, I'm impressed. Anyone who has tried to speak in front of people or on camera knows that it's not easy as it looks. You guys did a nice job. Don't worry about the "ums" & "you knows", that will get better over time. Just don't come to the set rocking that t-shirt again... ;-)
