Terrific. I remember being part of those arguments. I hope the fans and banterers relive these moments with you. I hope someone will write a revisionist view of the dynasty years, not that there isn't a brilliant tome out there about it, as good as you do the years that you are familiar with.

The Munson comment is classic. Never liked him, especially when he went after Reggie. Just more of the same. I just cannot remember it all.

[1] I don't think the picture was taken at the stadium. Maybe Bruce can clarify. It looks like Chambliss was put into a scene pre-photoshop.

As a lefty pull hitter, Chambliss' value was supressed at Shea, and he blossomed with the return to the Bronx (though ironically, Chambliss never homered at Yankee Stadium while with Cleveland.)

I realize that the salary structure of MLB has made big trades harder to complete, but that is the type of trade that needs to be made to help turn this somnambulant team around. The Yankees need an OFer that can SLG.

The original Stadium, no less, which Chambliss never played in as a Yankee.

Bruce,

I find it highly ironic that the photograph used for that card, was taken at Yankee Stadium!
