Stripes..I remember being about 12 and this being one of the first films I ever saw with a female shower scene..that along with the “Son of bitch. Shit” scene are forever imprinted on the brain!

Right on re Varitek Mattpat11. I’ll never understand how “Captain Facemask” not only got away with, but was glorified for, that cowardly shot at ARod. If a baseball catcher is going to take someone on, he takes his mask off. I think it at least interesting that that is the iconic image of this Red Sox era.

Some station (I think AMC) showed “Stripes” late one night a couple of weekends ago. It holds up really well even today. I’ve never looked at a spatula the same way again.

I had forgotten that John Laroquette was in that movie too.
