[235] Bats struggled early with their starter, Weeping. CC lost focus again in the middle giving up a go-ahead three-run HR to their nine-hole hitter on a hanging slider. He hadn’t hit a HR since September ’06!

Other than those “niceties,” they finished strongly.

[235] There was some upset and panic kinda thing, because CC served a gopher ball the only time the Nats got more than one man on base. And we had some Timely Hitting trouble (but good advancement of base runners on outs).

The defense was superb. Pena and Cano particularly. Pena came on because Jeter had stiffness in his ankle, result of a DP where he had to jump to avoid the slide.
