You could watch the archive of the ninth with your computer on 'mute'. Nothing against Kay and Cone that inning, but watching it in silence seems appropriate. I just got back from watching the SWB Yankees beat the PawSox. It was a tight pitchers' duel until a salami by Dunder Mifflin CF Colin Curtis in the eighth blew it open. Shelley came within a left fielder's leap of a home run, AJax drove a pitch 400 feet for an out, and Ramiro Pena played second base. Molina seemed a bit uninterested in the game. Then, fireworks! Very impressive. I do wish the accompanying music wasn't so heavy on the martial theme, though. Patriotic fervor is fine at 4th of July celebrations, but why does patriotism have to involve the Marines? Well, anyway, it was a good time. Yep, that was vintage Rivera.
