I mean it ... it is too soon and I'm still buzzed, but given the situation, I do believe that catch moves WAY up the charts. Remember, the glory of Willie Mays' basket catch-and-throw was that it was in the WS. Nettles' amazing game was because it was post-season ... context plays a huge role.

A perfecto, just subbed in, first batter, how far and fast he ran, and the bobble and barehander at the end ...

Sensational.

[9] the replay has been on non-stop, shouldn't be a problem to find it!

yeah, i've always dug buerhle also. he flies under the radar. i know it's a loooong ways away, but he really does have a chance at 300 wins. he racks up innings and wins, plays on pretty good teams and rarely misses his starts.

speaking of that...just found out my accountant ran into Tom Glavine at the freaking Waffle House in Buckhead, with his family, recently...

Wise's catch was amazing, as he had a LONG run to the warning track, and barely had any time to time his jump ....

I watched the last two innings ... Ozzie, whom I do NOT admire pushed such a perfect button in the 9th. He subbed in Wise in CF and moved Podsednik from CF to left. First batter drills it out of the park in left cener, and Wise ... Wise's catch is just sensational, and when you add context (18 perfectos in the damned HISTORY of the game) it moves into the very top echelon of over-the-wall grabs. Watch it, you'll have lots of chances ... he actually slams so hard the ball slips loose as he's falling and he gets it with his bare hand while falling down.

Just spectacular. And from sitting on the bench all afternoon.

Buehrle's second no-no. Makes me happy to be a baseball fan, moments like that one.
