[122] i just hope girardi doesn't either use bruney because he doesn't trust hughes, robertson or joba, or cycle through the relievers faster because in his mind he has a couple backups.

[123] it's raining now but only lightly. it's supposed to rain tomorrow but stop sometime at night. if it doesn't get heavier than now, i think they will play.

i'm pretty sure gammons just picked ruiz over posada in a position by position segment of the baseball tonight world series special.

[120] Cervelli out is good---no need for three catchers. Right move to add Hinske, of course. Six to one, half a dozen to the other with regards to Bruney for Guzman. I would actually be tempted to keep Guzman over adding a 12 th pitcher, but it probably doesn't make much of a difference...and it removes a temptation from Girdardi.

That 25th roster spot will hopefully (and probably) never come into play. it's too bad they don't have a RH bat to use there instead. I would have squeezed Miranda on the roster (over Guzman), but that ship siled long ago.

BRUNEY??? I cringe to imagine a scenario where he is in the game..

Keith Law with a good preview of the WS. I agree with his Girardi comments!

[119] so in sum:

Bruney, Hinske = IN

Cervelli, Guzman = OUT

that's prolly all the rasta moves, right?

[117] You'd love Xmas here then, one month of decorations, shopping and that damn Mariah Carey Xmas album that locals seem to love..but it's still a work-day, with the custom being that you spend the night with your lover at a "love hotel", exchanging gifts (and other things, I assume..)

New Year's is the family get-together holiday here when everything is closed.

[111] Yes he's Jewish. He also dressed up like Santa Claus on the 70s repressing my mom has, the crazy bastard (not that that's crazy; he's just nuts as we all well know).

I think they should just revert Christmas back to the winter solstice celebration it once was. Some people complain about taking the Christ out of Christmas but the fact is Christ was shoehorned into it in the first place. Let everyone get in on the action, let's drop Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.

[107] i haven't seen Anvil yet, but i hear it's great! i've got a bunch of their CD's. Forged In Fire, from 1983, is a classic record!!!

[108] i very well may be here. i'm contemplating going back to the studio to practice or staying here and drinking beer. any thoughts? i'm guessing both you and cult will tell me to imbibe, good influences that you are! truth be told, i think that's what i might end up doing...
