I don’t like the Molina move simply because this game is so important, but at least there is some upside (defense, throwing). But I don’t see any benefit to JHJr. We lose on both O and D… although I guess our bench is better!

I hope Hairston is better in right than he was in left the other night. He looked like Christopher Lloyd at the end of Roger Rabbit after that collision with the wall.

Anyway, I hate the move, but I hate the Molina move even more.

# [8] aside, I don’t *hate* the move to sit Swish, but Hairston’s the worst of the 3 choices to replace him.

Gardner adds speed and the best defensive alignment in the OF.

Hinske adds some power and hits Pedro just as “well”.

Hairston downgrades the D and is the least inspiring bat.

And don’t even get me started on the Molina move …

Sitting Swish is a bad move, worse than the Molina thing, both together, Mo help us. Still if they can’t win today’s matchup they don’t deserve to win. I don’t really hate Pedro, except for the Zimmer thing, but I really want us to kick his ass.

We’re giving Pedro two easy outs in the lineup. So much for the strategy of making him throw pitches and not chasing junk. Pedro will now throw a quality start against us. AJ better have his A game.

HATE the Hairston move.

V Pedro he’s 10-27, with three ground ball singles (read that elsewhere, can’t remember where); so it’s a .340 that could easily be a .260, it’s not like he crushed the ball…….and none of the ABs were post 2004! It’s all 5-10 years ago!

I’d be ok with Gardner, cause at least that brings overall defensive improvement.

HATE the move. Classic small sample size overthinking/panic.

Did I mention how I felt about the move?

I’ll miss the beginning of the game, I’ve just discovered, to attend my son’s soccer game. I probably should have realized that was an obligation. Ordinarily I’d love to go, but I’ll be sorry to miss the excitement. And it’s going to be really exciting seeing which AJ turns up…

maybe it’s a good thing i’m missing this game tonight. i guess it’ll be on at the gig, but i’ll be distracted by playing. i’ll warn the bandleader that if i all of a sudden start bashing my kit and playing all outta sorts, to blame Girardi and the city of brotherly love.

molina again after aj pitched well to po the other night and molina with no ability to hit rhp, and hairston, who is ot really an of over hinske who hit rhp decently or gardner whio at least is a good of and who could maybe get on base once or twice and do something with his speed
