Pedro should be on the mound. We hate that guy.

Andy should be on the mound. We love that guy.

Game 6 will be decided by the bullpens as neaither pitcher is likely to get past the 7th.

I really like the Yankees chances, and the way that they hit last night against Lee is encouraging. Pedro will be facing a lineup that isn’t as tight as they were in Game 2. I think Little Pedro will be heading to the showers by the 3rd inning.

Zim is going to be waiting for Pedro in the parking lot, and it’s going to be go time.

I can’t decide if the Banterites are whistling past the graveyard or genuinely so confident they risk offending the Baseball Gods! I am never, ever ‘confident’ regarding a single game, and especially not with a 37 year old 100 pitches at the best of times beloved starter going. I will dream of 5 decent innings from Andy, as I said earlier, and then cross a lot of fingers that a) we’re ahead of Pedro and b) the pen rises up and slays the Phanatic Phools before giving it to Mo.

But do I sit here today in any sublime expectation that this shall be so?

You gotta be kidding. And I’ll be as much a basket case as Alex [2] and the others above, if we play a 7th.

Maybe william can calm us all down?

I feel surprisingly good today.

I could be worried about vintage Pedro showing up again, about Andy on 3-days rest after a sub-par outing in Game 3, about Utley’s HR’s, about Werth against a LHP, about Teix and his MIA bat, about Mariano’s non-stop coughing during his post-game interview after game 4, BUT I choose to hang on the possibility of Pedro running out of pixie dust against so many LHB’s, of Andy pitching great in another clinching game, of Utley finally coming down to Earth with an 0fer, of Werth failing to hit or just watching perfectly placed CB’s on the outside corner, of Teix delivering a game-blowing-open 3-run HR in the bottom of the 2nd that ends Pedro’s night, on Mariano closing out the 9th with a 6-run lead for good measure.

that’s just me.
