Hey, was wondering wha the Banter consensus is on this type of thing..seems to be many bits on the web in the MSM about “Saints help rebuild a city’s hope” etc etc etc…am I just being a Negative Nancy by thinking that’s a bunch of baloney? How in the hell can a sports team do anything to help a city “rebound” from economic & physical destruction? Same goes for places like Cleveland/Minnesota, etc…Is it just cause I’m from New York that I don’t think a city’s “vibe” is in any way ties to it’s sports teams, and maybe in smaller, more boring cities….anyways, just wondering…

[3] yeah, very true. i had no ability to tolerate the cold when i first moved to the ne, but although i still love when it is hot, i have gotten to kind of like winter – but by march i am ready for it to end.

That’s a real plus of being a ball player — esp. a pitcher or catcher. You can play and live in NY, or Boston, or Minneapolis, but your winters are really short. (I like winter, myself, but I do wish it were shorter than it is in Rhode Island.)

it is definitely brick. one of those colds that don’t feel that bad right away but after five minutes or so your hands are ready to fall off. hot chocolate time.
