Final farewell to Hideki. Sorry, again, off topic, but I’m posting this for those who may not have seen it the first time…when I posted on Japan time. I’m always posting on dead threads. Nice piece on Godzilla by THE Robert Whiting writing for No.1 Shimbun, the magazine of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan. It’s pretty obvious the guys on guitar, while technically hitting the right notes, are not particularly soulful musicians. They should spend less time trying to be current, and more time learning to speak through their instruments. At the same time, the drearily dated vocals on this track beg for Auto-Tune. Knock-knock. 21st century, people!
