Hear about who and his girlfriend?

Thank you for this, Emma, as always. Your work is such a treat, it reads itself. I look forward to reading the book one day, when I have time enough at last.

Throwing. Running. Catching. Hitting things with sticks. Strategy. Strength and power. Speed. Endurance. Agility. Drama. No freaking clock. Coaches in uniforms. Knock downs and bean balls. Bang bang plays. Home plate collisions. Whining from pitchers and hitters. Yelling from the dugout. Infield fly rule. Fan interference. Dingers and bloops. Choppers and line drives. Diving catches and flip plays. Curves, four seemers, cutters, splitters, change-ups, sinkers, and knucklers. Closers. Loogies. Divas. Grass. Turf. Sunshine, rain, and snow. It's ok to spit in your glove. Seeds, gum, and gatoraide. Blood rivals. Who's Your Daddy. The Great Mariano Rivera.

Baseball has it all. I never grow tired of it.

I've been around awhile now, and there are very few times I can remember going utterly bonkers as an adult like after the Boone home run. What else (non family related) would keep me up until the wee hours when I had to go to to work the next day like the Jeter Dives into the Stands game? Who could turn away from something like that? Five infielders. Injuries. Outfielders playing third base. Everyone on the roster gets in the game (except NoMah).

Best. Game. Ever.

(Emma - one nit pick. Not everyone hailed Johnny a hero when he came to pinstripes. I know I didn't. I warmed to the guy a little, but I didn't shed a tear when he took his goofy swing and bolted for Detroit.)
