I put on Blood & Chocolate the other day for the first time in years and really enjoyed it. I find I generally come back to those first 3 albums and then King of America.

Great tune, excellent album. He's a real creative. I've seen him a bunch, although mostly invited. And I agree with matt b, he can be dense. His song cycles for example attract a limited audience.

I go in waves with Costello. I won't listen to him for ages, and then I'll hear a tune that sounds just so damn good to me, I'll dive into an album or two for a while. Sometimes his lyrics are so dense they wear me out. Overall, I think he's had a very impressive career.

I saw Elvis in Central Park last summer. Middle of July, about 95 degrees out wearing a black suit, black shirt, and Doc Marten's. I wouldn't have it any other way.

[2] i'm not either, but he's good. it's not fair to always clump him and Joe Jackson - and Graham Parker - together but i'll take JJ over any of 'em (and just about anybody else, too)! Joe Jackson is The Man!!!

i still can't believe Diana Krall married Elvis. feh! : /
