[23] Yeah, but still. It's *the* iconic line in the iconic title song of an iconic film featuring an iconic cast

I mean, Billy Joel and Madonna? I don't even know those songs. Or the John Fogerty song, for that matter.

They're just doing it to fuck with us. Or maybe just to fuck with me.

Humph.

[20] I take it that was from the WSJ; since when would we consider that periodical to be a strong reference point for art and culture?

???
"There was no more confounding figure than Joe DiMaggio. His cultural cachet is off the charts. He's been mentioned in songs by Madonna, John Fogerty and Billy Joel"

Umm, yeah, those are the iconic songs that mention Joe DiMaggio.

[14] i've always looked at your symbol as an old guy w/ a fu-manchu. seriously. i thought that's what you're going for. it reminds me of Mr. Miyagi. i never made the connection to the cap though and didn't see where RI made a comment about it. but yeah, that's what i figured it was. what's it supposed to be?!

fuck, i think i'm still reading it wrong. that robot marimbist from the last post has me all fekakta (sp?)

[15] nice!

[10] Actually, we're the ones getting gone, leaving the decrepitude that is this place to their bohemian rhapsody. We're jumping the border a few blocks to the actual suburbs. For me, this is a resting spot for a bigger move in the near future, but at least we finally solved one of the biggest issues to date, and not a day too soon! The market here has been getting really, really, super competitive for apartments in the last couple of weeks and we nearly got pushed out of the region altogether. Now neither of us (my roommate and I) have to give up our jobs, and we get to sleep a little more peaceful-like. Lovely! (and lucky/blessed >;)

[7] We've discovered that Brett's speed has a significantly disruptive kinetic force on the space-time continuum between pitcher/catcher contingencies to the point of near visible vortexes. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Scranton location, as Frankie Brains has a a surprisingly similar, if not equal effect on the base paths. If we can harness that energy... a rejuvenated Jorge would be top priority! NJ would be a bit more useful as well... not to mention clearing up Girardi's indecisiveness, if not his judgment...

i liked the 2nd Reggie bar best. the one from Reggie Jackson Day in the mid-90's. in comparison to the original candy bar from the late 70's, the new/improved one had a red wrapper (as opposed to orange) and peanut butter (as opposed to caramel, which i hate).
