The offshore ERA crack was very clever. And thanks for doing the Winn-dumping for the rest of us. Tonight's the battle of the colossal ERAs. I hope the bats show up, for us I mean. Thanks for a beautiful blog, btw, my favorite by far.

[8] Brilliant!

I'm not going to be upset over the loss last night -- it was Ernie Harwell night, so let the Tigers have the win. Today, a different story. Though lots of rain in the area today & tonight.

Mitre was the obvious sore thumb (it's amazing...no matter how he looks, his game ERAs always seem to approximate his career mark of 5.5), but what killed the Yankees last night was having absolutely no bench. Thames and Winn were awful last night. They constantly came up in big spots and stranded 11 runners. Having to go with Winn and Thames is going to cost the Yankees more games if they don't find some hitters for the bench.

[2]

That off-shore ERA apparently suffered an explosion, and now the Yanks are being subjected to BP (fastballs that get tarred)

The Yankees should check Gameday! It knew Bonine throws a knuckleball.

It's a strange knuckleball, though. Faster than the usual knuckler.

[2] Yes. Excellent! And I read it just as I was trying to figure out out to get some money from my U.S. fund account to my offshore one without causing a ruckus....wait, I didn't say that...blah, blah, blah, blah...

And I even sat Valverde so I could root unopposed. You all better not be saying we lost this because I played Cabrera...
