Number 5-Because judging someone on 2 weeks after a month on the DL is silly. Especially when he is coming off a very good season.

[3] Here’s an example: do you remember David Justice’s postseason performance in 2001? The dude couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn with a paddle.

The previous year he pretty much carried the team upon his arrival.

Torre insisted on running him out there in 2001 despite the fact that he had close to zero chance of getting a hit while Shane Spencer sat on the bench.

So I guess my question to you is, in the 2001 postseason, did you have any faith in David Justice?

[3] Why is that a silly thing to say? Will is not saying he has no faith in him on average, over the course of his career, but rather that watching him swing the bat these days he has a glaring vulnerability that seems easily exploitable.

What’s so silly about that?

Posada is a borderline future hall of famer because of his bat and you have no faith in him. Give me a break. That is just a silly thing to say.

Posada’s RISP splits support Will’s concerns to a point, but the dude is still second on the team in OBP & SLG behind Cano’s sick season. Remember, Cano had this problem last year, it’s as much small sample fluke as anything.
