[4] Cool. I have really high hopes for the movie. Affleck is really beginning to prove himself as a director, and the story is just so wild in the hands of anyone halfway-capable it should at least be a lot of fun.

RT, Fritz set no conditions on doing the interview.

It was strictly my decision not to ask about the “swap,” mostly because he has addressed this in most of the print and broadcast interviews I’ve seen done with him. I preferred to talk to him about different material that I’ve never heard him discuss before. At the same time, I didn’t completely skirt the issue; we talked at length about the film, which is a new development in this story.

I can’t wait to see this film when it is completed.

But I have to ask, was it agreed upon that “The Trade” (the actual real life one) wouldn’t be talked about? Not saying salacious details (although those are fun), but just what the public reaction to it was, how he was treated by his teammates, by Steinbrenner.

I love these pieces, I truly truly do. I just find it curious to see an interview with Peterson and/or Kekich and the swap isn’t directly addressed.
