[9] And why should you? His job isn't to give the press updates on what the Yanks are thinking about doing (though they wish it was, and I'm sure some think it is). His job is to construct the best possible roster.

[1] [2] [3] [4] I liked yesterday's better. This one looks like something I have hanging on the wall of my office, that my three-year-old son painted. He entirely covers a sheet of paper in one paint color, picks a second color, and paints a blob in the middle of the paper. No offense to the artist, as I tend to like this kind of colorful, shape-based art, but like Cliff, I just don't get this one.

[8] It reminds me of a minus sign flash card. Perhaps with paintings of the other basic math symbols and some numbers in the same space, it would be more appealing. ;)

from ESPN:
He [Cashman] also refuted media reports that the Yankees were planning to acquire Hiroki Kuroda, the Dodgers' Japanese righty who is rumored to have been placed on waivers by the Dodgers.

"I haven't thought about him. I don't even know if he's on waivers yet," Cashman said. "Besides, I'd be hard-pressed to find a pitcher on the waiver wire who can pitch better for us than Dustin Moseley has."

I know nothing of Hiroki Kuroda, but his numbers look very decent. 3 years in LA with a career 1.20 WHIP, 3.66 ERA. Even adding 0.75 to his ERA for the NL to AL East transition, that still makes him a very nice #5.

Cashman says: "I'd be hard-pressed to find a pitcher on the waiver wire who can pitch better for us than Dustin Moseley has."

<b>"I don’t even know if he’s on waivers yet...”</b>
I mean in the Yankees organization, there must be at least 3 guys who know EVERY waivered player within 30 seconds of the move... right?

This is blustery bluffery stuff so he isn't blocked? We have seen worse from our past #6's then DM's 89 ERA+, but Cashman can't be serious... can he?

I mean, I really like Cashman... because I don't believe a single thing he says.

That or they look like giant Candyland game cards.

I consider myself pretty open-minded about art of all kinds, but I don't get it.
