Hughes slots in rather nicely as a #5 starter. Unfortunately, he’s on a team seemingly filled with #5 starters right now.

Really, I think if Swisher was playing, the Yanks win that one easily. Kearns was awful.

for what it’s worth, i believe we did turn off the gas last year before cranking it up again. I think that’s the way to go really if you can get away with it. The guys need some rest and healing. And you don’t want to go into the playoffs flat. we’re doing worse than we ought to right now though. Too many men left on base tonight for sure.
