when I went to Philly last year I took a poll and was told that only tourists and people from New Jersey go to Pat’s and Geno’s….I was told to go to Jim’s and Tony Luke’s….great recommendations.

I have had both, many times, and prefer Pat’s on taste by a wide margin.

On top of that, Geno’s posted an “English Only” sign a few years ago that will prevent me from ever going back.

In NYC, Karl’s cheesesteaks on 34th are as good as I’ve found. But I’ve never had their food at the new stadium.

Had them both too, but don’t remember which was which. Both very good. The best cheesestake I had in Philly, however, was next to a small gas station on Broad Street not far from what was then Vet. The ones they sell in Citizens Bank Ballpark are also very good.

When I was in Philly for the world series, I had both Pat’s and Gino’s, I thought Pat’s was better than Gino’s. I still found both were really good, but I’m more of a Pat’s guy.
