I moved to LA when I was 20, and started my music business career as a messenger for a record company. I had to deliver something to Tony Curtis (a party invite), at his home in Bel Aire. He was in the back yard of his compound, wearing a straw hat, tending tomatoes, and working on a canvas. I guess that was the height of his addictions, but he could not have been nicer to me, shook my hand and discussed the finer points of tomato growing. It made my week, and I became a fan for life. RIP Mr. Curtis (aka Schwartz).
