Fantastic movie for the times and a teenage boy. But not scary at all to me. Don’t get that part. Exciting, yes. Scary, no. Maybe you guys were much younger. The original Friday the 13th. That was scary.

[1] Altered States is a seriously weird film. Chayefsky and Ken Russell did NOT get along, but Russell was contractually obligated to not change a word of Paddy’s script. Makes for some odd direction. It’s all worth it for the young Blair Brown. Hubba hubba.

AB! My cousing had that Warriors poster in our basement when I was a kid..used to scare the hell out of me! Such an awesome movie. Scanners too, nobody could touch Cronenberg back in those days. Check out “The Brood” for some seriously creepy stuff…

I need to see Altered States again, saw it years ago and can’t remember…
