I read something once where Carpenter said that the sexually active characters were not being punished for being unpure, they were simply easy for Michael to kill because “They’re not paying attention!” I love that.

It’s a terrific movie. I have zero interest in Zombie’s remakes. Carpenter’s film shows almost NO blood and manages to scare the crap out of you.

Ah…..another favorite. That damn creepy tune is forever etched into my brain as well. I also have to plug Rob Zombie’s remakes here. They are simply Bad Ass. IF you are into that sort of thing.

That movie absolutely freaked me out. There are so many disturbing images – the way Michael Meyeres rises up after being shot. The way he hides in the back yard by the laundry, or behind the hedge row, or how he’s outside the school spying on her. When he’s under the sheet pretending to be the boyfriend. When he’s on top of the car during his escape. Man – CREEPY stuff.

Sure, they are all cliche now, but they weren’t then. The killers silence and dead face with that mask. His unhurried pursuit. Man – the whole thing was just creepy as hell.

Brrr. Man.
