		<description>Someone will have to explain to me why we should care how much money a team spends on a player, especially since spending caps in baseball are artificial and self-imposed.  I hear these &quot;is he worth xx million and xx years&#039; conversations all the time among Angels fans here in Orange County, as they try to justify the fact that ownership doesn&#039;t care enough (in other words, spend enough) to get the best players and to win.  I&#039;m sure the fans have had similar conversations for decades in Pittsburgh and Baltimore.  I don&#039;t root for the Yankees to make money.  i root for them to win.  

Or maybe, instead of  &quot;Greatest  Teams&quot; lists, we should start making &quot;Most Financially Successful Teams for their Owners&quot; lists.</description>

I think both Jay and Goldman are excellent at what they do. I confess I have always been a big Goldman fan as he is not afraid to voice unpopular opinions. Actually, if I remember, he was against signing Lee if it was 5 years (or more) and $100m or more.</description>
