Tex thinks that Pettitte is closer to retiring than returning. I gotta say, as much as I'd like him to come back, it's ludicrous for anyone to demand that he does or insist that he "owes it to the organization". The organization owes a lot to him and so many others, but no one is unhappy when players don't get what they want. The Yanks will be the Yanks with or without him regardless of what the zealots or haters insist. I just kinda wish he'd make up his mind already; Cashman is right on the account of proceeding as though he won't be there.
