If you ever go to Cooperstown, perish the thought for some of you, there is a diner that serves excellent oatmeal. And I agree that good oatmeal is difficult to find. We have been mislead by the quick stuff.

As for this weekend, there being no football, try to attend a SABR meeting. If you be in VT, give me a call or just come to the meeting at Lance Richbourg's studio at St. Micheal's college across the street from the Vermont Public Television Station. Meeting starts at 11:00 and goes until 4:00 when people retreat to a bar for beer and hamburgers. Good company. Book reviews. Swaps. Lots of fun.

Finding great oatmeal is as difficult as finding great pizza, or great mac and cheese.

As a fan of oatmeal (eating some now in fact), I approve of this post.
