Maybe I'll just miss the Texas-sized effort you knew he'd bring every time he stepped onto the mound. I doubt he'll make it to the Hall of Fame, at least not in the near future, but Andy will always hold a mythical status in my mind for beating the Sox in Game 2 of the 2003 ALCS, the first playoff game I ever attended. Larry Roibal's probably got my all-time favorite rendering of that<a href="//www.roibal.net/blog/2010/10/08/andy-pettitte-2/”" rel="nofollow"> Pettite glare</a>.
