[5] Kinda like watching 2001 or Lawrence of Arabia on TV - you get the idea, but not the impact.

4) Yeah, and the emotional power can't be replicated in this small form. Most of his canvases are BIG, really gives you that California light, space impact.

False spring or not, the weather seems to be synchronizing most generously with pitchers and catchers reporting. And I appreciate any bone that the tail end of winter will throw my way to keep me clinging to that hope which springs eternal in the human breast. If the weatherman can be trusted - if weathermen can ever be trusted - he's forecasting it to be 65 and sunny down here in DC as the weekend rolls around. Thank Mo, spring and baseball certainly appear to be on their way.

[2] Personally, I think the big man dropping 30 lbs. (or half that) is coming up quite big/small enough....that and the whole bringing number 27 back to the Bronx, of course.

[1] What do you mean about CC coming up biggest against the smallest? A 2009 postseason including ALCS MVP wasn't big enough?

King's article slipped over the real problem which starts at the number one starter who comes up biggest against the smallest and the number two who has not pitched enough to throw scares into opposing batters on a regular basis and the number three who is a jerk. So, let's not pay too much attention to the four and five, until you got the first three settled in. And lest you forget, C.C. don't get going until the Spring chill disappears.

As for Keith, I think he does baseball better than he does anything.
