Which is a cut above bad Oscars. For me, it's not that the Oscar show is bad as much as it is that movies nowadays are bad. I hadn't heard of The King's Speech before the Oscar buzz. IIRC, the last movie I went out to see was The Dark Knight. The last Oscar I was excited to watch was to watch LOTR sweep. Ann & Jason weren't great, but they weren't horrible. They're film actors, not live entertainers. There is a difference. But for me, Hollywood is too reliant on redoing a story or CGI.
