(i performed them on marimba, of course...) right now, i'm listening to Mendelssohn string quartets. the cello isn't prominent, but it's in there... my favorite non-percussion instrument! i played a tiny bit in college in methods class, as music education majors have to learn a little about all the orchestral/symphonic instruments.
