I was at the SABR NYC meeting this past Saturday, and Kostya was one of the speakers …. he described the difficulty in writing a book about the streak, without rehashing old stories about the man behind it.

And our old friend Bill White has a new book coming out next month …

I didn’t even know about the Kennedy book until the News ran a really good excerpt yesterday, which sold me on it. Robert Weintraub has one coming out next month on the ’23 Yankees that I’m looking forward to as well.

Ian O’Connor on Jeter…meh, not so much.
