Is it just me, or does the Yankees colon look ugly and swollen?
I think they need a proctor-ologist or something...

[6] True, but there is a difference between "fifth starter" and ≤ 60 ERA+, Perez' line the last two years. If only the Yankees had, say, a young middle reliever with some starting experience whom they could throw out there in the #5 spot, instead of parading through a bunch of, er, journeymen...

In general, when dealing with back of the rotation starters, you're going to have a few clunkers. That's the reason they're back of the rotation starters, or journeymen, because they're not that good.

My first instinct when looking at the picture above was to say, <i>"Gotdammit, Joba!"</i>, but I took a good long look at that picture and it sunk in...

Since Schlitter left us earlier this year, I can't think of who we'll be cracking on. I mean, imagine if he and Bartolo were sitting in the bullpen together and the YES cameras caught them chatting or something. It's the little things that make life finer.

"Once in a while you get an Aaron Small or Gustavo Chacin – sometimes you even get both at once!"

I'm assuming you meant Shawn Chacon there. Ah, memories......

Actually, what I'm fearing is that the #4 & 5 starters will be Colon and Garcia and that both of them will be gone quicker than Randy Winn by June....
