Jeter was like a young Sinatra in his appeal. I had a centerfield bleacher seat once and Jeter got a small ding that took him out of the game. I said to the woman next to me I hope he's alright, worrying about the rest of the season. She told me she was upset too, now she couldn't look at his ass bending over at short. Jeter was the heartthrob of the tri-state area for about a decade, for women 13 to 103. That's quite a record.
