Belth, you lucky son of a gun. It's only right the Todd Drew seats were host to such an unbelievable day by the Captain. Color me green with envy.

We made the trip from pittsburgh. Planned months ago and the atmosphere was amazing! So glad you were there too alex! When I realized the hr was going out I remember just jumping up and down and screaming and everyone around us was doing the same thing. Then high fives all around. The guy next to us immediately left with his girl to go "celebrate".

[15] Wait, you mean the Yankee brass are using a great baseball moment to pile more gold bullion on their pile? I'm shocked. Shocked!

Derek Jeter....Derek Jeter...Derek Jeter.

His penny is as shiny as new. What a day for him.

Lucky people witnessed it. Must have been a blast. How can you deny that these Yankee moments define why this team is the best, and most important. The pastime of NY is baseball. You have to be here to know and feel that.

The only drawback, and it was predictable, was the immediate merchandizing of the event. Oh, well, Jeter's performance today goes beyond crass marketing.

[8] He has had two other five hit games and three five RBI games as well as 10 2HR games, but when you throw in the game winning hit, I think this one has a good case to be the best.

[8] Incredible, what a great way to do it! Watching the game now, really noisy vibe at the Stadium for a change.

But A-Rod may have surgery..that is not good news..

I truly think this is the greatest single game of Jeter's career. Even without 3000, 5-5 with a HR, 2B, SB and game winning RBI has to be near the top.

Glad you could see history, even though I had my chance ruined by the damn rain!! I was in the house for 2,000 and the Yankees record, so I can't believe he'd go ahead and get 3,000 without me. How ungrateful.

Nope, I am not bitter.

Jeez. It was something. The first time he was up the crowd was going nuts, like it was a playoff game, and just before Price pitched it got completely silent, like it was a tennis match. Most of the fans were dazed after the home run. The game seemed secondary. But of course, Jeter had to have the winning hit.

Absolutely lucky as shit that we were there. In Todd's seats too boot. And it was random, we'd picked this date months ago. Go fucking figure.

Is there ANY doubt that Derek Jeter's final at bat of his career will end with a home run . . . with the bases loaded . . . on a 3-2 pitch . . . in the final inning of a game seven . . . to win World Series?
Ridiculous.

Leave room for the monument.
