Even though the guy won 18 games last year and seems to have similar velocity, I just don't get the feeling that he's going to be as effective. And I don't think I would have been willing to mess with the good thing Nova had going to take that chance. I would have put Hughes in the bullpen, where they need someone most right now. But that's a decision based mostly on my gut and I don't expect others to agree. And it's water under the bridge.
