i like it. i like the connecting. i definitely great thing about the internet.

two words: ANCHOR STEAM. they brew it up the street, literally. i'm on sixteenth, it's just off 18th. alaskan amber is a fine one too....and everywhere. i'm a creature of habit so anchor steam is usually my jam though.

it's fun, i read the banter for awhile but never commented. just didn't feel a need. never even read the comments, just like alex's taste. i started scrolling through comments fairly recently and decided that i like the tone of some of the folks too so i started posting...it's the most well rounded group of yankee fans out there. kudos boys.

russian jews with new york roots. we are everywhere!

[47] nice! okay, i remember your first day here at the banter, or so. you had just gotten the barber license. alex was asking about the barber pole and you explained the 1st aid stuff. i actually thought about that a coupla times on the tour, when i saw a barber shop.

i'm in dire need of a haircut. it's approaching my waist and really dead. i just do it myself (sorry) and do a terrible job. last time i went to a place was half a life ago. well, save for the 1 time i did 'locks of love'. that was a mitzvah, but traumatic, so never again!

i'm similar - born in queens, eventually moved to the island (very close to queens. all right by jfk), lifelong yanks fanatic. my whole fam is stuff up there.

atlanta RULES! i love SF, too! i played with the symphony there this summer! that hall is *unreal*!!! super cool percussionists, too. oh, i had a local Eel River porter; it was excellent. but i'm jealous, as you can get Alaskan Amber Ale on tap. best beer in the world, perhaps!

a NY buddy of mine lived in SF for about 15 years, playing/teaching/recording drums for a living (like i do here). sounds like things dried up there a good bit and it's expensive, but what a wonderful place! insanely good music from there and many different styles, as well.

i got called to do 4 tours this summer. all the calls came within a week of each other. 1 was overseas, which is cool. but the logistics are tough and the money isn't there. i don't take work just to go to a cool place...

this is a good motto: "if they're payin', i'm playin'!!!" : )

well i can't say i play for a living play but it certainly has been the main objective over the last 15 years. i'm a barber now and semi retired from touring..at least the US. always willing to listen to offers that take me to europe....hahhaha. usually just rock type stuff but like i said, working full time as a barber these days and digging the hell out of it...

i was just in atlanta...for a wedding though. last saturday. one week ago. it's where i got married too....deep friend connection there and serious affinity for the place in general. i've lived in san francisco for th epast 16 years though...another good place...

folks born in queens...lived as a child on long island....lifetime yankees fan....

hej brian!

ah, i just freelance. and i generally try not to tour; i'm not much of a fan. that said, i am hoping to eventually get onto the worldwide clinic/masterclass circuit. i'd have zero problems traveling the globe and doing clinics at music conservatories, and such! touring with bands isn't so much my scene, anymore...

cool you play for a living! greatest job ever of all-time!!! : )

hejda kompis,
--thelarmis.

ps - let me know if you're ever playing in atlanta...

I don't dislike Carl Crawford, but I love the fact that he sucks this year. Very cool.
