I like tomatoes, hate peaches. Took me a while to come around to tomatoes though; I was of the George Carlin school of thought that the insides liked like they were still in the larvae stage. Never mind all te good stuff that comes from tomatoes, like facepaint and stress-relief and performance criticism...

Ok B, as long as you're okay with the give-and-take, I'll keep the raspberries fresh >;)

6) Agreed on both counts. There are some years when I have poor luck with peaches, and there is nothing more disappointing than a mealy peach. But just this week I've had four or five juicy ones. Man, are they ever good.

[5] Here's something I don't like to admit.
I've found that heirloom tomatoes just don't taste as good. I like the look, I kind of get off on the amazing variety and heirloomishness... but I'm not going to buy them, because every August (and September) tomato is a peak culinary experience for me, and I'm not going to waste one.

This probably reflects badly on my tastes.

Oh, also: peaches. I went and picked a half bushel on Sunday. Made two pies. My family and I have just about finished off the rest. OMG. They are incredible.
