Yeah, this result is better for the Yankees than if the Yankees had won either tonight’s game or last night’s. Because the tie is better for us than either team leading.

The incentive structure is bad. Girardi isn’t throwing games, but he isn’t exactly pulling out all the stops. I’d be kind of unhappy if the shoe was on the other foot. But what can you do about it? I don’t see any solution.

I don’t feel good about myself as a person for this. But man, did that whiff make me feel better about last night. Even if FSP (new way I’m going to type this) and the whole fiasco of will they or won’t they try to choke those bastards kept me up late and put a *deep* dent in today.

All tied up! There’s no way for me to not find this – at a minimum – very interesting. To choose one word from among many.
