As a diehard Yankee fan living in Philly, amongst a sea of red, listening to the media blowhards everyday saying that the Phillies were a lock to win the WS, this gives me alot of satisfaction. My wife and her family are big time Phillies fans and now I don’t have to hear about the Yankees coming up small!
Seeing the greatest team ever not even making the playoffs, and them “Fighting Phils go down, eases some of my sadness if the Yanks losing!
Sorry to see what happened to Howard though, Achilles tendon torn, out for a year at at least.

[86] heh. I’m at work and my coworker is a diehard Philly phan. Phips, Eagles, Flyers, whe whole bit. We had the game running on my phone via mlb.com audio.

Howard stepped in with 1 out left in the game, down one run. I said, “Hmmm.. seems like A-Rod last night”. Then the broadcaster mentioned Howard was coming to the plate 0-for-11. “Nevermind.. A-Rod did better than that!” I could help myself.

he fumed… misery loves com’ny, they say… plus the Gints are tops while the dirty birds are hurting. love it!

It was supposed to be the dream pitching rotation vs. the best team evah in the world series. Too bad, and yes, it takes the some of the sting off the Yankees.
