My twin sister and my mother possess the crocheting gene - and they've made countless afghans, scarves, baby blankets etc. and the stuff is gorgeous too. I've often said they should try selling them at various craft fairs. They'd probably make back twice the cost of materials that they paid. I've tried to ...gotten as far as a halfway decent chain-stitch, but alas I just can't seem to find the inspiration that they have.

I guess I can count myself fortunate though that I was handed down the cooking gene so while I can't make a comfy & cozy blanket, I make a kick-ass homemade salsa! :-)
