[1] Too funny – I cannot imagine “Taxi Driver” without Herrmann’s score. I don’t recall her take on DePalma’s “Obsession” – another Hitchcock homage, and with a Herrmann score!

Funny that she mentioned Bernard Herrmann. Kael’s only complaint about “Taxi Driver,” a movie she loved, was his score.
