Wow. I wouldn’t have liked to be involved in this conversation face-to-face. I might lose me cool. I have a problem hanging folks who aren’t crazy about food. All kinds of food. Ask Mr. Jazz how many time’s I’ve bitched about the length of his “don’t touch” list.

I love everything…although, hold the laughter…I am not keen on pecan pie. And my family is from the South, where the dish is an institution…and it’s pronounced: pee-CAN pie.

But I do enjoy horse sashimi (a favorite in Japan) and have even had bear and chicken sashimi. Believe it or not.

[8] um, i’m never tried coffee… i can’t stand the smell. the whole aura of it was never appealing to me. only caffeine i have is in barq’s root beer, which is the only root beer that has caffeine…

i didn’t try an apple, though i like apple sauce and drank some apple juice as a kid. rebellion, was never ever a factor for me; i didn’t act out and wasn’t trying to get attention or piss anybody off.

just not interested. never cared to try new foods or anything. basically, found what i liked and stuck with that. musically, i branch out.

now, i’ve gotta go head out to teach a bunch of college kids to be versatile musicians and try lots of different styles of music, even if they don’t want to or don’t think they’ll like it! : )

[4] ok, i do love pastry crust. i’m a big fan of chicken pot pie. in england, they had those great chicken & mushroom pasty’s.

i do love nuts in chocolate, like in a candy bar. i haven’t been eating candy bars lately, though…

peaches – hmmm, gerber’s was good! a regular peach, i guess i wouldn’t know… i am eating clementines regularly right now. does that count for anything?

Funny, the filling part of a pecan pie is the part I’m least interested in. Pecans are great roasted (and with chocolate they become sublime), and I’m a sucker for pastry crust, but the filling, eh.
Thelarmis, you live in Georgia. Learn to love the pecans, for crisake. (I’m not even gonna ask about peaches.)

[2] oh man, that’s the phrase i HATE more than anything!!! it was always that and “look it up” when i didn’t know a vocabulary word.

turns out, the dictionary became my favorite book in the world, so ya never know! upon second look, the pecan pie doesn’t look so bad, but i just don’t really care for the texture of most desserts.

i have heard that pecans are delicious and nutritious. maybe i should crack one open in my driveway…

i saw this picture and thought: “man, when is he gonna feature somethin’ good” and then i saw the honor of having my name mentioned here at the banter. haha! : )

before the leaves starting falling a few weeks back, the overhang of a tree on my side lawn kept dripping tons of sap onto my car in the driveway. it was annoying having to go to quik trip everyday to wipe my windows. i also noticed driving over these impossibly hard nut shells every time i pulled in/out of my driveway.

turns out i have a healthy pecan tree here. apparently, they go for good money, in bulk. who knew?!

i do like peanuts, but nothing fancy and certainly not in a pie…
