As I was reading this I became uncomfortable, and when I thought about why - it dawned on me that in my entire time as a Yankee fan (since ca. 1975) I never really wanted another teams star - the only time getting a star player really entered my mind was when they were on the free-agency list.

For instance, after Munson died, my mind wandered around the major leagues and I wondered if the Indian's Gary Alexander would be available, and was thrilled to get Cerone.

But I will agree that The Kid was one of the greats, and would have been a great addition to any team.
