[1] I was driving around a crew of filmmakers from Dublin this week; we were on our way from the city to Portland, ME and I decided to bypass I-95 because it was approaching rush hour when we left the city (but the GPS somehow sent us through Vermont @8pm); after stopping for dinner we continued to our destination in the dead of night; we crossed through a region that was so foggy we couldn’t see more than 10 feet in front of us. The movie “Brigadoon” started crossing my mind, but I didn’t say anything at the time, yet within minutes we did cross through a tiny, sleepy little town engulfed in heavy fog in the dead of night:

[4] Thanks Jon. He’s glad the season is starting soon. Mike was a pretty active guy, so sitting around the house is not his bag. Baseball on the tube may make it somewhat tolerable.

[0] I’m okay with the signing but don’t really know where, if at all, AP fits in. He’s no spring chicken. As long as the team wins, I don’t care if he sucks. One thing I don’t want to see again, though, is Ellsbury stealing home.

Holy cow, I have been living under a rock for the past couple of weeks. I had no idea about the Pettitte signing. Swish screaming on the phone sounds about right. I’ve been posting very infrequently for a while, mainly because of work, but I want to mention that my father-in-law is really ill. This is the man who is solely responsible for my wife being a Yankees (and not Red Sox) fan. I found out this morning that he needs a heart transplant. I am not the praying sort of guy, but any good thoughts, vibes, or prayers for him would be wonderful and appreciated.
