[10] Yeah obviously you can’t jump the gun on the trade but with a little (lot?) of imagination, I can VERY easily seeing this go down in history – like if they keep updating Ken Burns documentary, it will be in it, as one of the worst trades ever. Montero becomes a HOF level hitter and Pineda falls into the pitching-in-NY / Yanks’-handling-of-young-pitchers pit of doom.

I’ll give Pineda until Memorial Day. If he’s still sitting 91-92 then I may panic. But if his change up keeps developing and his slider is up to snuff he’ll still get a lot of outs. But ferfuck’s sake. Hughes lost a lot of velocity last spring and his season was garbage. In an event, one week from today!
