Great write-up, thanks.
The Rays will never go down easily, and are the ones to beat in the AL East. These May games mean more than the schedule would dictate. A one run lead leaves no room for our fledgling closer. The offense needs to get rolling.
If the arrival of Swisher's throw to the plate was a half second earlier, and if Robertson prevailed over Joyce after being ahead 0-2, our enthusiasm for Da Hamma would have no bounds. A three plus hour game can change fortunes in less than a minute.

CC today! Can Robertson pitch three days in a row?

Even Mo blows saves once in a while, the problem is when there's no margin of error thanks to an anemic offense.

Robertson has been through a lot in the last week. Mo's injury hit everybody hard, but the moment those ligaments shredded, Robertson's job description changed dramatically. He's not just becoming a closer, he's replacing the great Mariano.

Many levels of shit to deal with. I'm sure he'll be fine, but he might not be the same old Hammer while he digests all of this.

The title--spot on, man. And he hasn't given up a run since last September. This was going to happen.

Well said, Hank.
But most of the time he's the Hammer, right?
