Maybe i’m missing something (or just a senior moment), If Nova gave up six runs, and the Yankees scored eight, why would he get the loss in the game? Shouldn’t Qualls get the loss giving up the deciding three runs?

Thanks for the write up. It would have been un-wordly if the Yankees came back in the 9th, but it almost happened. Taking 2 of 3 from the Angels is a victory, especially winning game one of the series, that was cast like a typical Yankee/Angels frustration game. The Yankees should have won today, but the “not the best of the bullpen” let them down and giving up a potential handful of runs on the basepaths was too much.

That Trout is something else, and barring injury has 15+ years of high level baseball ahead of him. I predict that the Angels will overtake the Rangers this year and win the AL West. It gets too hot in Dallas…

4 runners erased from the basepaths and a Qualls eventually killed us.
I don’t usually blame Girardi for loses, but DRob should have been in there.
Tough loss, but Balimore lost (again), and I mystically predict either TB or the Sox will lose.
