Considering that mIlb is done by then, there wiil be no rehab games. I also read that some physical therapy is usually called for. Maybe we get lucky, ARod plays the last 2 weeks and gets in shape for the PS, but this could be season over for Alex.

I had no idea idea my wrist was broken until it was x-rayed.

It felt weird, but there was NO pain.

I’ve seen people react like Alex did and jog down to first and keep playing.

A non-displaced fracture does NOT need to be reset, but it seems the 4 to 12 weeks may still apply.

“Once the bone is reset and back in its normal form, a cast or splint will be applied. This is to prevent the bone from being moved out of position during the time it will take to heal. Broken bones heal rather quickly, taking anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the severity of the break. Since bone fractures can be quite painful, a prescription or over-the-counter pain killers may be recommended throughout the healing process.”

1:10am: A-Rod suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left hand and is going to the DL. That’s better than a displaced fracture but still sucks. They won’t know the exact timetable for his return until he sees the doctors in New York on Thursday. Fan-friggin’-tastic.
