A run similar to what Bill Mueller's HR against Mo back in July 2004 helped fuel, the momentum they started to generate after that and the eventual WS title. Color me stupid for believing this team had that kind of ability to overcome the adversity they've had this season. I'm glad that this RS team just sucks. I love how dysfunctional they are, I love all the infighting, I love their 4 game under .500 record. I read some of their fan blogs and I'm amazed at how so many defend the players, go off on the MSM for being, well, too mean and not positive enough. Suck it RS Nation!!! I was afraid after the Red Sox took 2 of 3 in the Boogie-Down that they were going to go on a run. It was a game of fun parts, but not a fun game. At Pete Abe's place, you get the feel of RSN now. They are resigned. They are hoping not to be swept. Very few fans are thinking, "We just need good outings from Lester and Beckett and we can still take this series." I also like Pete's <a href="http://www.boston.com/sports/2012/08/17/david-ortiz-speaks-his-mind/2uzxT8dLOSg8jjCMZNiFHN/story.html" rel="nofollow">Ortiz story</a>. The Red Sox need their players to be more like that. Yes. It was a game of fun parts, but not a fun game.
